It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Keelie Marie Towler, a beloved resident of Normanton, who passed away peacefully at The Prince of Wales Hospice on Thursday, 15 January 2026, at the age of 35, surrounded by her loving family. Keelie’s passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and the community mourns the loss of a truly special soul.
Keelie was a devoted and loving partner to the late Scott, and a cherished mother to her son, Rupert, who was the centre of her world. Her unwavering love, strength, and care as a mother defined her life and left a lasting imprint on all who witnessed her dedication. She was a treasured daughter to Colleen and Steve, and Shaun and Jan, and a much-loved sister to Warren, Laura, Gareth, and Wayne. As an auntie, she brought joy, laughter, and warmth, and as a friend, she was loyal, compassionate, and deeply caring.
Those who knew Keelie will remember her for her kindness, gentle nature, and the genuine way she connected with others. She had an ability to make people feel valued and supported, offering comfort and encouragement even in her own most challenging moments. Her courage and grace throughout her illness were a testament to her strength of character and her enduring love for her family.
Keelie’s passing is not only a profound loss to her family and friends, but also to the wider Normanton community, where she was known and loved. While her life was far too short, the impact she made will continue to live on through the memories she created and the lives she touched.
A funeral service to celebrate and honour Keelie’s life will be held at All Saints Parish Church, Normanton, on Thursday, 12 February at 11:00am. In keeping with the family’s wishes, family flowers only are requested, with donations in lieu of flowers welcomed in support of The Prince of Wales Hospice, whose care and compassion were greatly appreciated. Following the service, mourners are invited to gather for refreshments at The Comrades Sports and Social Club.
Keelie Marie Towler will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always. May she rest in peace.
