It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy that we remember the life of Jada Claire Gasaway, age 24, of Tillar, Arkansas, who passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026. Jada’s passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. The community mourns the loss of a young woman whose warmth, joy, and vibrant spirit touched countless lives.
Born on November 1, 2001, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Brandy Mizell and Leslie Gasaway, Jada grew into a person whose personality radiated kindness and light. She was known for her beautiful smile, fun-loving nature, and the genuine way she connected with others. Jada had a love for adventure, often found driving her jeep or spending peaceful moments near the river. She held a special place in her heart for animals, especially her beloved dogs, and her compassion for all living things reflected her gentle and caring soul.
Jada was a faithful member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Star City, where her presence was cherished. Her life, though far too brief, was filled with meaningful relationships and moments that will be remembered with gratitude and love. Those who knew Jada speak of her infectious laughter, her authenticity, and her ability to bring comfort simply by being herself.
She is survived by her loving family: her mother and stepfather, Brandy and Greg Mizell of Tillar; her father, Leslie Gasaway of Star City; her paternal grandparents, Herman and Sharon Gasaway; her maternal grandparents, Bobby and Laura Glover, and Patricia Mason; her brother, Drew Mizell; and her sisters, Averi Gasaway and Dee Mizell. Each of them carries forward her memory, holding close the love and joy she brought into their lives.
As the family and community navigate this time of grief, we extend our deepest condolences and prayers. May comfort be found in shared memories, strength in the love that surrounds them, and peace in knowing that Jada’s life left a lasting mark that will never fade. Though words cannot mend the pain of loss, may faith, friendship, and community offer support in the days ahead.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Shady Grove Cemetery in Star City, Arkansas, with a reception to follow at the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Jada Claire Gasaway will be forever remembered, deeply loved, and never forgotten.
